Welfare Solution?

One thing that caught my attention was the question that leopolean asked on a previous post. They said, It can be difficult for someone with no experience and no education to get work, especially since welfare benefits are better than Walmart benefits. What should the government do to pave a road for these people? And how would you draw the line between someone that needs welfare vs. someone that is just not interested in working. 1. STICKS AND CARROTS:

STICK: Benefits are only temporary. Beneficiaries have to take regular drug tests and should be force to do menial work. No more food stamp "credit cards". They should receive enormous bright orange "welfare" currency that everyone can recognize. REDUCED additional benefits for each child a welfare mothers has.

CARROTS: They can continue to get modest benefits as long as they stay in school and get good grades. Welfare benefits shouldnt be cut off as soon as they start working, but should very gradually be reduced as they slowly become "earners".

  2. A solution:

No more government means no more welfare. Without a governement people will be forced to work to survive. Everyone must fend for themselves and there will be little rule for charity such as welfare. This would not be a chaotic or completely violent society, simply one where people can not be dependent on each other or the governement to provide them a living. This will be where the line is drawn between the people who are willing to work and those who are not, as those who are not will probably die.
